Play Tissue Box (4-24 M)

It’s fascinating how many colorful cloths can be conjured out of the box one after the other! We developed the Montessori tissue box (baby) to address several educational elements between the 4th and 24th month of life. This square box offers you new themes time and time again during your baby's first 2 years. There won't be any boredom here! And thanks to the different ways of playing with the Montessori tissue box, your baby learns in six different ways:

1. Hand-eye coordination

Fold the 5 cloths into the box so that only one corner is sticking out of the top. Just like a box of tissues! Let your baby reach for the corner of the cloth and pull it. What is very easy for you is a real challenge for your baby at first, because fine motor skills still need to be trained.

2. "Cause-effect" concept

The cloth has been pulled out, but hey presto… the next corner is already peeking out of the box. Your baby pulls again immediately and is fascinated as they gain more and more experience with the educational "cause-effect" concept. It's great that all the cloths look different, so you can see more clearly how many different things have been conjured out of the play tissue box!

3. Head lifting

Place your baby on their tummy and motivate them to lift their head using this interesting play tissue box. This strengthens their neck muscles.

4. Balance in a prone position

It takes quite a lot of strength to reach for the exciting toy while in a prone position. Pushing themselves up, lifting one arm off the floor, reaching forward, grabbing, and pulling - this requires a lot of coordination and balance!

5. Supported sitting

Sitting without help for a short moment is usually only possible from around 6 months. To prevent a painful fall, you should catch your baby during their first attempts at sitting so they don't fall onto the floor or the toy with their head. By the way, pediatricians and orthopedists advise against actively sitting your baby up too frequently, but instead recommend waiting until your baby brings themselves into a sitting position from a prone position. Perfect for healthy spinal development!

6. Geometry

In addition, we have our first contact with basic geometric shapes: circle, square, and triangle! A different basic shape is engraved on each side of the play tissue box. Explore the shapes together with your fingers, and can your baby already find the little hinged door on the front of the toy? It's fascinating how this hinged door can be opened, while the geometric shapes on the other three sides can only be felt!
